Mr. Sunness is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Larimer County Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. He presently serves as Chair of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee of the Larimer County Bar Association.
Eric graduated in 1992 from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While attending law school, he served as a legal intern at Sixty Plus, Inc, Elderlaw Clinic of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and served as a law clerk for Abood & Doyle, PC. He was also a member of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Trial Team, served as a Professor's Assistant in the Trial Workshop program, and was on the Dean's List.
Mr. Sunness is married and has three children. He is also active in his community. He has served as president of Fort Collins Youth Lacrosse and vice-president of Northern Colorado Youth Hockey. He is currently a USA Hockey Certified Ice Hockey Coach, a USA Hockey Certified On-Ice Official, and in his spare time he enjoys playing the electric bass guitar.
